Today, we’re thrilled to introduce you to Nicolas — a Lausanne-based designer and ECAL graduate — and his latest project: FOPLI.

You might already know Nicolas through his work with us: he created one of the most striking visuals we’ve ever produced — the CBD hash transformed into a "Fight Club"-style soap bar — and has contributed to the design of our soon-to-be-launched Snus family.

Now, Nicolas brings his unique vision to life once again with FOPLI: a playful and provocative collection of hand-tufted rugs.

About FOPLI

"FOPLI is a series of hand-tufted rugs that began from a simple yet curious observation.

One day, while struggling to lay my (toilet) rug perfectly flat on the ground, I asked myself:

Why can’t I just leave it messy?

The slight disorder of a rug with a crease or fold creates such a strong sense of disturbance — and I wanted to turn that absurd feeling into a graphic, life-sized object.

Feelin' messy? Don’t wanna tidy? Let it be."

The name FOPLI is a playful nod to the French phrase "faux pli" (meaning "fake crease") — blending humor, design, and everyday imperfection into a bold statement piece.
