Fred 15g CBD Soap Bar

Let me be completely honest. These soap bars were initially conceived as a "joke" while brainstorming how to promote our CBD-Hash. During a windsurfing trip in Morocco in the early 1990s, I recall Iazid, the person we met at Place Moulay el Assan in Essaouira, and who quickly became our tour guide, asking us about the size of the Hashish "soap bar" that we requested him to obtain for us…The slang word soap bar to name Hashish you buy in the streets is also quite common in France and the US (I never bought Hashish in Germany, but I doubt it would be called “Stück Seife”!)

I then had the idea to create a mould for our CBD Hash resembling a cosmetic soap bar. At the same time, I learned about a well-known French cosmetic laboratory experimenting with a new shell-encapsulated emulsion technology to maximise the bioavailability of some ingredients. This opportunity clicked in my brain as I had just secured the perfect 95% broad-spectrum CBD oil from the US but hadn't yet figured out how to blend it correctly in our soap (I was not very impressed with the classic ultra-sonic emulsion still broadly used in the industry).

The idea of our soap bar was born and swiftly validated by the highly positive feedback from our carefully chosen testing panel, including people such as mechanics who frequently need to wash their hands.

98% of our soap base is Savon de Marseille, which was an obvious choice as it's considered the best soap available - period. There is no “controlled designation” for a savon de marseille (e.g. so many bad copies even sold on the typical tourist markets in Provence!!). This led us to collaborate with Mounir and his team at BEA, the most reputable soap laboratory near Marseille, who are enthusiastic about experimenting and thinking outside the box!

The remaining 2% are as precious as gold and could be considered as a “booster” of the cannabinoids naturally present in your body. They provide unique added benefits to your skin. I let you be the sole judge of this assertive statement!

Use this soap for washing your hands, body, hair…(please wait at least 30 seconds before rinsing). It has been appropriately tested in compliance with all necessary certifications. Pffff…. cosmetics are way more complicated than tobacco products, where writing “smoking kills” on the packaging clears us of almost any type of compliance certificate!

These soaps under the brand name “FRED” are now a teaser to what comes next: we are developing a full cosmetic product family benefiting from our shell-encapsulated CBD emulsion, as well as the latest and most active ingredients (some of them emulsified just like our CBD oil). We have never been so busy…
